NEW DELHI: There is no stopping Vaibhav Suryavanshi, as the 14-year-old prodigy continues to make waves across formats, smashing a stunning century off just 56 balls against the UAE in the U-19 Asia Cup match in Dubai on Friday.
He began his knock with patience, getting off the mark only on his sixth ball with a boundary off Ali Asgar. In the bowler's following over, the young left-hander shifted gears, launching two massive sixes to spark his acceleration.
Suryavanshi took just 30 balls to reach his fifty in style with a towering six off Ahmed Khudadad. His innings gained further momentum after surviving a scare on 85 when he was dropped at long-off attempting to go over Uddish Suri. Keeping his composure, he carried on and eventually reached his century in just 56 balls with a calmly taken single.

It was the young batting sensation's second Youth ODI century, having scored his first earlier this year during the tour of England.
However, he fell short of a maiden double century, scoring a breathtaking 171 off just 95 balls, which included 14 towering sixes and 9 fours, before being cleaned up by UAE spinner Uddish Suri.
A dream year for India's youngest batting sensation
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is having a sensational 2025, showing no signs of slowing down at just 14 years old. He kicked off the year with a blistering IPL century for Rajasthan Royals and added five more tons to his tally soon after.
Following his IPL exploits, Suryavanshi toured with the India U-19 team in England and Australia, scoring centuries in both youth ODIs and youth Tests, further cementing his reputation as a prodigious talent. He has also notched a century for India A, showcasing his consistency across levels.
Before the Under-19 Asia Cup, he represented Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), where he continued his red-hot form with another century. His recent ton in the U-19 Asia Cup now brings his incredible 2025 tally to six centuries, underlining a year of record-breaking performances.
