"I was in the kind of zone where I was just looking at the gaps and the bowler and see my zone and try to hit it there. That's what happens when you're batting well, you see the gaps and middle it. At one point, we thought we could restrict them to 180-190, but they made 210 [215], so we just wanted to get a good start. I wanted to finish it off, but got out."

"I feel 215 was defendable, but I felt that after the heavy roller, the wicket got a little better. I feel in the first innings, spinners got a bit more grip, and shorter, slower balls were sticking more. I think 230-240 would have been a score that would have made the chase very challenging. 215, with the batting they had, we knew we had to get their openers early, but we didn't, and it was going to be a tough road after that."

Kagiso Rabada picked up 2 wickets today to take a lead over Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the Purple Cap list. Archer claimed 1 wicket today and finished his campaign with 25 wickets in 16 innings.

Rabada, who won the Purple Cap in 2020 with 30 wickets, has 28 wickets and is 5 wickets away from breaking Dwayne Bravo's (CSK, 2013) and Harshal Patel's (RCB, 2021) record of 32 wickets each in a season.

Evergreen pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is two wickets behind and could still become the first player to win 3 Purple Caps.

Sooryavanshi leads the race with 776 runs, but is not a part of the final. Gill and Sudharsan both need big knocks in the final against RCB to deny the 15-year-old his first Orange Cap.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, with 600 runs in 15 innings, need 177 runs to surpass Sooryavanshi's tally in the final, which is highly unlikely to happen. So, we are in for a three-way battle for the Orange Cap on May 31.
