Jason Holder wins the POTM award
Jason Holder wins the Player of the Match award for his 2 wickets for 28, 12 runs and 3 crucial catches today.
"Happy things how went for me personally. Felt our energy was good from the start. After the first couple of overs, everyone was a little edgy but credit to KG (for turning it around). (On his catch to dismiss Patidar) I did see him (Rabada), was just hoping to not run into him. He was in my peripheral but he was far enough for me to put in an attempt (to catch it). (On ball following him) I welcome it as it comes. Just happy to hold on to the chances. Happy to contribute and to get over the line. (On his batting role) The way this franchise approaches, you have to stay sharp. More or less about coming in when needed, and delivering."
Rajat Patidar reflects on RCB's loss
"The score was not good enough on this track but the way we bowled and stretched it, it was a positive sign. (On the pitch) There was a good cover of grass and it helped the fast bowlers. The way Shubman played, he played beautifully and put pressure on us. We gave a lot of wickets in the middle and that kept us in the backseat. He (Bhuvneshwar) is an experienced bowler and the way he bowled in the first half was incredible. It is a long way (to go) and we will take it one game at a time. We are not looking at the table. Our aim is to play good cricket."
