The first innings comes to an end, and Punjab Kings fall well short of expectations as they are restricted to 163/9 after a solid start turned into a steady collapse. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Marcus Stoinis and Suryansh Shedge ensured PBKS reached a respectable total after an early collapse at the top order.

For Gujarat Titans, it was a clinical bowling performance led once again by Jason Holder, who finished with a superb four-wicket haul. Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan also chipped in with one wicket each, keeping constant pressure on the Punjab batting line-up throughout the innings.
